During this quarter 4, we are assigned to choose one of renaissance composer and explain in details about the composer’s finest work. Explaining the renaissance composer finest work, is also playing the renaissance composer finest work with the chosen elective music class. Since I joined guitar class, I need to play the renaissance composer’s finest work with guitar. I choose a composer named William Byrd. He is one of the finest composer in Renaissance era. “The Renaissance period (approx. 1450 - 1600) followed, in which music become much more complex and was used for many more secular as well as sacred purposes. More instrumental music appeared and choral music gained complex harmonies.” The question that I will be researching is “How did William Byrd contribute to music in Renaissance Era?"
The Renaissance period (approx. 1450 - 1600) followed, in which music become much more complex and was used for many more secular as well as sacred purposes. More instrumental music appeared and choral music gained complex harmonies. Examples of Renaissance composers are Palestrina and Monteverdi. The late Renaissance also saw in England, the best known of which were composed by such masters as John Dowland, William Byrd, Thomas Morley and others. . This is why the period is called the Renaissance: the word means ‘rebirth’, and it seemed that the glories of classical Greece were being reborn.Music was an essential part of civic, religious, and courtly life in the Renaissance. The rich interchange of ideas in Europe, as well as political, economic, and religious events in the period 1400–1600 led to major changes in styles of composing, methods of disseminating music, new musical genres, and the development of musical instruments. The most important music of the early Renaissance was composed for use by the church (made up of several simultaneous melodies). By the end of the sixteenth century, however, patronage was split among many areas: the Catholic Church, Protestant churches and courts, wealthy amateurs, and music printing—all were sources of income for composers.
I did well in this project by collecting reliable data and specific about my chosen composer. I collect the data from trusted website. I explain the details about my chosen explorer, which is his life, his experience, and others.
